Challenge 1: Hodge Podge 2025

General Challenge Information

Please read all of this here, then read all of the following below!

Hodge Podge is a challenge I've been working on for a few weeks, and I hope you'll like it. The challenge will consist of 12 weeks and will run from July 20 to October 12, 2025.

For those who play only in the regular challenge without the addition of team participation, you can score a weekly total maximum of 21 points. If you play on a team, you stand to receive a few more points weekly depending on a few factors that are explained on the teams main post.

Dreams and Mayhem Posting Comm

You MUST be a member of this comm Dreams and Mayhem Post to be able to post both your fills and to read them. I will send you an invite to the comm after you've applied and all signed up to play.

Alternate Prompts and the Pool for Them

As someone who has played in the past and with you guys now (only I'm going for most NEGATIVE points), then I know sometimes what you see before you on the main list isn't inspiring you.

So I have decided to offer you a POOL of THIRTY words that you can choose from if you can't do anything with the week's main list. But picking a prompt from the POOL means you are limited to making only TWO FILLS for the week, and you will only score a maximum of SIXTEEN POINTS. The other thing you should know is that once you've picked a prompt from the pool, you CANNOT choose it again for the rest of the challenge.

If the Weekly Alts Still Ain't Cutting It For You...

Then you are free to pick any ONE propmt of your choosing that is NOT already a part of the weekly list+alternates or from the alternates pool!

But just to let you know that if you choose this path, then you will only be ablo to score a maximum of ELEVEN points for the week in the regular part of the challenge.

Content Ratings

Please try to keep everything a STRONG R or M rating or below. I would ask that NOTHING EXPLICIT be posted. If you post fills that need to have either one of these ratings, please also include appropriate warnings for content and any possible triggers found within your fill.

Allowed Types of Works and their Scoring

Every week during the challenge I will post a new list of FIVE different prompts. You are free to fill them any way you want via fanfic, graphics, and/or poems such as haikus or longer. See the Minimum Fills Requirements part of this section to know what you need to make to score points.

Minimum Fills Requirements
Fics (or Meta): 100 words = 2 points
Poetry: 4 points for 5 lines; 3 points for haiku style
Icons: 2 icons = 2 points (100x100)
Sig Tags: 2 Sig Tags = 3 points (300x150 size)
Wallpapers: 1 Wallpaper (1920x1080) = 5 points
Moodboards: Minimum of 4 pictures/text total

Please show some evidence of editing the fill besides cropping into required sizing such as 100x100 for icons.
